Tarot for the Collective

Welcome, my friends!

This week’s Tarot Forecast arrives on the edge of a rare triple celestial turning point: tomorrow’s New Moon in Aquarius, an annular 'Ring of Fire' solar eclipse, and the opening of the Chinese Lunar New Year, ushering in bold Fire Horse energy. Together, they usher in a cosmic reset that asks for radical honesty, brave redirection, and a willingness to move with what is changing, rather than clinging to what is comfortable. Phew . . it's a lot! Are you ready?

The Triple Celestial Event

Aquarius New Moon

This new moon highlights radical authenticity and the courage to live in alignment with who you are now, not who you were once expected to be. Aquarius energy is future-facing, community-minded, and quietly rebellious. It invites you to loosen the grip of outdated roles, people-pleasing patterns, and limiting inherited beliefs, so you can choose your next chapter with clarity.

Annular Solar Eclipse; Ring of Fire

An eclipse is not a typical New Moon energy, perfect for neat, controlled intention-setting. Instead, it’s often experienced as a course correction from the universe. It can sweep into your life as a fated pivot, a sudden ending, or the unexpected opening of a door. With the ‘Ring of Fire’ symbolism, we’re also benefiting from added passion and momentum. This can show up as needing to release an identity that no longer fits, or stepping into a new timeline. Both ask for courage and trust. Are you ready to make that leap?

Year of the Fire Horse

The Fire Horse is fast, independent, and transformative. This energy can feel like a burning stallion: powerful, liberating, and impossible to tame. It tends to accelerate what’s already in motion and expose what is stagnant. Projects, relationships, and habits that are ready to evolve may surge forward quickly, and what cannot evolve (or isn't mean to) may fall away just as quickly. To ensure you work in alignment with Fire Horse energy, regularly ground your nervous system to avoid burn out. If you’d like to learn more about the Fire Horse, I’ve gone into more detail in this blog post.

A tarot card with a figure carrying ten wands is set against an orange glowing background, featuring a crystal and celestial design.
Monthly Anchor: Ten of Wands. (Deck: Rider Smith Waite)

Monthly Anchor Card: 10 of Wands

Before we begin, a reminder that our anchor for this month is the 10 of Wands. This is the ‘too much’ card: carrying responsibilities that were never meant to be yours alone, pushing through on willpower, and mistaking exhaustion for devotion. With eclipse energy in the air, the 10 of Wands asks a simple question: What can be put down now, so your hands are free for what is truly yours?

Three tarot cards (The Fool, The Lovers, Five of Wands) are displayed on a decorative mat with a Fire Horse figurine and warm glow in the background.

Your Tarot Forecast

The Fool

Not going to lie, I let out a squeal when I drew this card! The Fool arrives as the purest New Moon medicine: a beginning that is not fully mapped out yet. With the eclipse and Fire Horse energy, this is not a timid step. It's a leap of faith into a truer version of your life. The Fool asks you to release the need to have it all figured out, and instead to follow the thread of curiosity, excitement, and soul-alignment. If you’ve been waiting for a ‘perfect’ moment, this card gently reminds you that the perfect moment is often created by choosing it. Watch for impulsivity, though. The Fool is brave, but not reckless. Ground first, then move.

Affirmation: I trust the unknown. I take the next right step, and life meets me there.

The Lovers

The Lovers is not only about romance. It is the sacred choice card. It asks: What do you truly value, and what are you willing to align your life with?  Under Aquarius and eclipse skies, The Lovers can bring relationship truths to the surface, including the relationship you have with yourself. This card invites honest conversations, clearer boundaries, and decisions made from integrity rather than fear of loss. If you are standing at a crossroads, The Lovers asks you to choose what brings you closer to wholeness; your authentic self. It also highlights harmony through shared vision: partnerships, collaborations, and community connections that feel like a YES! in your body.

Affirmation: I choose with clarity and love. I honour my values, and I honour my truth.

5 of Wands

The 5 of Wands is the friction that reveals what matters. It can show up as conflict, competing priorities, inner restlessness, or the feeling of being pulled in too many directions. With Fire Horse speed, this energy can escalate quickly if you're already overloaded (hello, 10 of Wands). The invitation here is to work with the fire consciously. Ask yourself if this is a battle worth fighting, or is it a distraction from your real path? Sometimes the 5 of Wands is creative tension, the spark that refines your voice and strengthens your boundaries. Other times, it is noise. Choose where your energy goes. Protect your peace like it is sacred, because it is.

Affirmation: I channel my energy with intention. I release drama and choose purposeful action.

Journal Prompts

  1. What part of my identity feels outdated, heavy, or performative, and what would radical authenticity look like instead?

  2. If the universe is course-correcting me, what truth is it trying to reveal, and where am I being asked to surrender control?

  3. Where do I feel the Fire Horse wanting to move quickly, and what grounding support do I need so I can move sustainably?

This week’s Tarot Forecast is a clear call to begin again (The Fool), choose what aligns with your deepest values (The Lovers), and consciously direct your energy away from noise and towards purpose (5 of Wands). With the 10 of Wands as our anchor, you are also being asked to put down what is not yours, so you can move into this new cycle with lighter hands and a steadier heart.

As always, take what resonates, and leave aside what doesn’t! If you would like support navigating this reset, I offer gentle, grounded soulful sessions to help you find clarity, calm, and the next right step.
