Tarot for the Collective

Hello my friends, and welcome to this week’s Tarot Forecast, which lands under the Capricorn Full Moon and Mercury retrograde beginning in Cancer on June 29th, and on the 30th, Jupiter stepping into Leo. That’s a lot, right? With so much happening, you may already be feeling reflective and a little fragile, so this is a week for honest self-check-ins and gentle emotional review. It’s also the perfect time to sit with what’s truly supporting your long-term path and making choices around those supports.

Our guiding thread for the reading is Release, Review, Reward. I’m guiding us into this energy by exploring what it’s time to release, what would benefit from a review, and what reward loving your authentic self can bring. Our anchor card for July is the Knight of Cups, and I’ll share how that heart-led influence weaves through each card. Here’s what this heart-led card indicates for July.

Tarot card labeled KNIGHT OF CUPS, showing an armored knight holding a golden cup amid plants and a blue sky backdrop.

The Knight of Cups may feel like an unmistakable pull back towards what your heart actually wants, not what you think you should want this July. You might notice yourself craving more beauty, softness, romance, creativity, and meaningful connection, alongside a stronger desire to live in alignment with your values. Embodying this energy can look like making choices based on emotional truth and speaking from the heart—even if your voice shakes a little. It can also show up as letting intuition guide your next steps in a calm, loving way. The Knight of Cups isn’t as feisty as his Wand or Sword counterpart. He’s more about sincerity; following the feeling, tending the dream, and allowing your life to be shaped by what nourishes you.

This week's forecast:

Three tarot cards—Ace of Rods, II, Queen of Swords—lean on a leafy plant, with bright blue backgrounds and soft sunlight.
Ace of Rods, 2 of Rods, Queen of Swords. Deck: Morgan Greer Tarot

What is it time to release? Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands is pure spark, pure desire, pure beginning energy. And yet, in the Release position, it asks something really practical: where are you chasing the thrill of the new, rather than committing to what actually matters? Sometimes we cling to an idea because it makes us feel alive, even if it’s not sustainable, aligned, or ready.

This week, release the pressure to act on every flash of inspiration. Release the need to prove yourself through constant motion. Let the spark be a spark, not a demand. If you’ve been feeling restless, scattered, or like you should be doing more, this card is permission to pause and choose one idea that’s worth tending.

Another aspect of this card as a Release asks you to examine if you’re stuck in spark energy. In this case, there’s no action, only daydreaming. You may find you’re talking the talk, but not walking the walk. If this resonates, the message is to start taking action. Pick that one idea, make that first step, and release yourself from the daydreaming.

With the Knight of Cups influence, you’re reminded that heart-led action is still action, but it’s paced. It moves when it feels true, not when it feels forced or wants to show off.

Affirmation: I honour inspiration without rushing it. I choose what is aligned, and I move with steady devotion.

What area of your life would benefit from a review? 2 of Wands

The 2 of Wands is the ‘looking out over the horizon’ card. It’s vision and planning, and sometimes, the moment where you realise you’ve outgrown something. With Mercury retrograde in Cancer, this review can feel very emotional because you’re not only asking, “What’s next?” You’re also asking, “What feels safe and nourishing for me now?”

Practically, this is a brilliant week to review your plans, routines, and commitments. Where have you been saying yes out of habit? Where have you been holding yourself back because you’re waiting to feel 100% ready? The 2 of Wands invites you to choose with intention, not fear. With the Knight of Cups, the planning energy is softened with a message to allow your review include your feelings, not just your goals.

If you could redesign your next few months from a place of self-respect, what would change first?

Affirmation: I give myself permission to reassess. I choose a path that supports both my dreams and my wellbeing.

What reward will loving your authentic self bring? Queen of Swords

The Queen of Swords embodies clarity, truth, and squeaky-clean boundaries. She doesn’t do confusion or negotiate with what drains her, so as the Reward card, she’s a reminder that self-love is not always soft. Sometimes self-love is saying no. Sometimes it’s telling the truth. Sometimes it’s choosing peace over performance. And sometimes, it’s about swinging your sword to cut something, or someone out completely.

When you love your authentic self, you stop second-guessing your needs. You become more discerning with your time, your energy, and your relationships. You communicate more clearly and make decisions faster because you’re not trying to please everyone. And with Jupiter in Leo now expanding confidence and creative heart, this kind of clarity becomes liberating. The Knight of Cups keeps the Queen’s clarity connected to compassion with a reminder that you can be honest and kind, and also firm and loving. This week, watch what becomes simpler when you stop explaining yourself to people, especially those who are committed to misunderstanding you.

Affirmation: I trust my clarity. I honour my boundaries. I choose what is true, even when it asks me to be brave.

Journal prompts

  1. What am I ready to release, even if part of me still finds it exciting or familiar?

  2. Where do I need to review my plans, commitments, or routines so they better support my emotional wellbeing?

  3. What boundary, truth, or decision would be an act of self-love this week?

This week's tarot forecast moves in a Release, Review, Reward arc: release the pressure to act on every spark (Ace of Wands), review your plans from a place of self-respect (2 of Wands), and receive the reward of clear boundaries and honest truth (Queen of Swords). It’s a week for choosing what is sustainable, emotionally aligned, and quietly powerful. And with the Knight of Cups anchoring July, we’re doing all of it with heart-led devotion and gentle courage. As always, take what resonates, and leave aside what doesn’t.

One final thing! I’m taking a few weeks off from the newsletter and blog to rest and enjoy some family time, but also to put the finishing touches to something new. When I return, you’ll see Creative Soul Tarot evolving into a brand new look and services that are even more aligned with the work I’m here to do. There’s lots to share, and I’m so excited for this next evolution of my business. Until then, thank you for your support, and I’ll be back soon with all the updates!
