Hello, Creatives!
I have a new spread this week, one I came across while wandering through the web. I think it’s a great one for a quick check in on progress, or if struggling with direction and unsure of the next steps. So this week’s Tarot for Creatives examines: Where you are, Where you want to be, How to get there.
Right in the thick of hard work is where you are right now. The 7 of Pentacles indicates a time where the harvest is almost upon us, but until it’s ready, we must be patient. It’s a ‘watched pot never boils’ situation, where we’re eager to see results, but have a while to wait yet. Hang in there, and while you wait, take the opportunity to reflect on projects. What’s working? What might need tweaking? Are you in need of a time out? The figure in the card rests on his shovel, but his pause can be translated as contemplating his work, or catching his breath. Continuous effort is required, but you’re on the right track and a bountiful harvest awaits! Use this time wisely.

The 10 of Cups is the card of blissful endings, and who doesn’t want their Happy Ever After? Sitting in the Where you want to be position, it’s a pretty obvious message. You’re striving for abundance, peace, and prosperity. Those gifts take on a different form for each of us, but the outcome for which we strive can be simply summed up as ‘success’. One of the best ways to manifest abundance into our lives is by pausing to count the blessings you currently have. You may not regard them as the ultimate blessings you’re working towards, but sending out gratitude for what currently fills your cup attracts more of the same. Keep your goals front and centre if the waiting period indicated by the 7 of Pentacles has you frustrated. You’ll get there, but until then, give thanks for what you’ve already achieved.
The Queen of Swords points the way for how we’ll get to where we want to be. A master of clarity, she brings an astute, logical energy. To move towards the success of the 10 of Cups, take a logical approach to your current situation. Stay alert, cut through any nonsense that comes your way, and when it comes to decision making, use your intellect. Heart-centred, emotional responses won’t serve you best right now. Nurture any ideas that come your way. Don’t be afraid to take your time with judging what will serve you best, or where you need to swing your sword to make a severance. Queens bring a nurturing quality, but the Queen of Swords has no hesitation in cutting away the chafe. As you wait for the 7 of Pentacles to mature to harvest, remain clear-headed. Soon you’ll be celebrating that wonderful 10 of Cups success.
A very positive and practical reading this week, but this deck always gets straight to the point.
