Hello, Creatives!
Welcome back to Tarot for Creatives after another bank holiday break! They always sneak up on me at this time of year. How is May treating you so far? I hope it’s being kind to you. I’m busy with writing my next book release, and doing a lot of behind the scenes book stuff, mainly related to exiting Amazon due to their unfair practices against indie authors. I was exclusive to Amazon, but as my nine books come out of contract with them, they’ll be available through all ebook retailers worldwide. It’s a lot of work for me, but hopefully a step in the right direction. Like any decision that impacts our creative work—and our pockets—it was a tough one to make.
This week, I’m reading with the ‘You, Your Current Path, Your Potential’ spread. It’s a simple spread that helped me find clarity in the last few weeks! If you’re struggling with a decision right now, I hope it offers guidance.
The World is a card of completion. As the final major arcana, it indicates the end of a journey, the completion of a cycle that brought much wisdom and experience. When the World pops up, it’s a sign to hit pause, acknowledge achievements, and celebrate. Consider all the effort you’ve put in throughout this closing cycle, and congratulate yourself on a job well done. But don’t sit for too long on your laurels. When one cycle ends, another begins. With all you’ve learned in the past, ensure you take it into the future to work more efficiently and smartly. You may be feeling more confident than you have in a while, and lately had a moment of clarity that’s helping you move in a new, and perhaps more inspired, direction. Go with what inspires, even if it’s not where you thought you’d end up. The incoming cycle brings exciting opportunities and offers new horizons. This is exactly where you’re meant to be right now, so go with it and step forward with confidence!
“If you follow your star, you cannot fail of glorious heaven.” – Dante Alighieri (Poet)
Another positive and uplifting card, the Star appearing in the Current Path position, speaks of hope. The uplifting Star comes after the Devil and the Tower, two tough cards, so when it appears, it’s a sign of moving into better, brighter days. Your struggles are over. Enjoy the balm of chill that this energy brings. Healing typically comes with this card, too, so if you’ve been battling ill health, it’s also a positive sign of recovery. Paired with the World, these two powerhouse cards speak of personal transformation, so where the World indicates a new cycle, the Star elaborates, pointing towards personal development and fulfilment. Expect internal energetic shifts with the Star and the World. I always pick up on a message to meditate when the Star appears, so gift yourself a couple of quiet moments every day this week to tune in with your inner self. If you can find your centre, the internal shifts will become more obvious.
Your Potential is represented by the swift action of the 8 of Wands. This is the card of go, go, go! Expect progress as you move ahead with plans. There’ll be little, if any, speed bumps, and you may even be surprised by how quickly you make progress. With the hope and confidence provided by the Star and the World, it’s you who’ll be behind this motivating progression, so don’t be tempted to give the thanks to the gods of good luck and/or chance. With all you’ve previously experienced and achieved, success comes from your hands. The 8 of Wands often indicates exciting news, so things may be even better than you thought! Acceleration, exploration, and positive action all await for Your Potential. Embrace the energies of the World and the Star, and you’ll find yourself moving forward with renewed inspiration and confidence.
What an uplifting trio of cards for the week ahead! They give off a great buzz of creative energy, so here’s to a week of inspired creativity! Have a wonderful week, creative souls.
