Tarot for the Collective

Hello lovely souls!

Did you get the opportunity to work a little manifesting magic for the Lionsgate Portal on August 8th? I kept it simple with meditation and journaling, but when the sun finally crept out from behind clouds, I took a moment to connect to that sunny Leo energy to further boost my intentions. I'd love to hear how you worked with the energies of this potent portal.

This week, we’re tuning in to the wisdom of the Traffic Light spread—a simple yet powerful way to gain clarity on what to move forward with, what to approach mindfully, and what to gently release. Here’s what the cards have to say for this week's tarot forecast:

Three tarot cards: The Empress, Temperance, and Knight of Cups, featuring vivid illustrations of nature, balance, and a horse, set on a leafy background.
The Empress, Temperance, Knight of Cups. Deck: Crow Tarot by MJ Cullinane

Green Light – The Empress: Go For It!

The Empress is the ultimate card of abundance, creativity, and nurturing energy. She encourages you to step boldly into your power as a creator—whether that’s birthing a project, nurturing a relationship, or tending to your own well-being. This card is a green light from the Universe: now is the time to say yes to what lights you up.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea or feeling a creative spark, The Empress says: trust yourself. Your intuition is spot-on, and your ability to nurture your dreams into reality is stronger than ever this week. Don’t hold back—give yourself permission to flourish. This is also a reminder to honour your body and senses. Enjoy beauty, comfort, and pleasure in the everyday. Sometimes, the most profound growth happens when we allow ourselves to receive.

Ask yourself: What am I ready to bring to life? Where can I give myself more compassion and care as I move forward?

Amber Light – Temperance: Proceed with Caution

Temperance is your gentle nudge to find balance and moderation in all things. If you’re feeling pulled in different directions, this card advises patience and a measured approach. Not everything needs to be rushed; sometimes, the best outcomes are crafted slowly, with intention.

This week, Temperance asks you to blend your passions and responsibilities, finding the sweet spot between action and rest. You might notice situations that test your patience or require compromise. Remember: harmony comes from integrating opposites, not swinging from one extreme to the other.

If you’re facing a decision, Temperance says: take your time. Seek clarity before making commitments. Trust that the right answer will emerge when you allow things to settle. Your inner alchemist is at work—let the process unfold.

Ask yourself: Where am I being called to slow down, find middle ground, or seek healing?

Red Light – Knight of Cups: Release or Cease

The Knight of Cups is often the dreamy romantic or the bringer of heartfelt messages. In the red light position, however, he suggests it’s time to let go of emotional distractions or unrealistic ideals. Are you chasing a fantasy, or holding onto a situation that no longer serves your highest good?

This card asks you to check in with your heart. If you’ve been swept up in wishful thinking, or letting emotions lead you astray, it may be time to step back and reassess. Release what feels heavy or ungrounded—especially if it’s rooted in old patterns or people-pleasing.

Letting go isn’t about giving up on love or creativity, but about making space for what’s truly aligned. Trust that by releasing what’s not working, you’re opening the door to deeper fulfilment.

Ask yourself: What am I ready to release, emotionally or creatively, so I can move forward with clarity?

Journal Prompts

  1. Where in my life do I feel a surge of creative energy or inspiration, and how can I nurture it this week?

  2. In what situations am I being called to practise patience or seek balance, rather than pushing ahead or withdrawing?

  3. What emotional patterns, fantasies, or relationships am I ready to release, and what might I gain by letting go?

May this week bring you creative abundance, wise balance, and the freedom to release what no longer serves you. As always, take what resonates and leave behind what doesn’t! The tarot forecast will be taking a break next week, but will return on August 25th.
