Tarot for the Collective
Hello my friends
I’m back after a month’s pause of the newsletter and tarot forecast, during which time, a lot has been happening. I mentioned at the end of June that Creative Soul Tarot was undergoing changes, and you may have already noticed the name change across my socials and website to Your Path Aligned. When I first launched Creative Soul Tarot, my business centred solely on tarot reading. But in the past four years my spiritual journey has led me deeper into meditation, and more recently Rahanni Celestial Energy healing and Human Design. My business now has four main pillars: Tarot reading and teaching, Rahanni energy healing, meditation, and coming soon, Human Design coaching. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or direction, I’m here to help you align your path!
As mentioned in the August Tarot Inspiration post which went out over the weekend, your weekly tarot forecast will continue to land in your inbox on Mondays. The monthly tarot inspiration post will also stay. I’ve had lots of messages about these two favourites, so rest assured, I currently have no plans to end them. Over the next while, I’ll start to bring more about my meditation, Rahanni and Human Design into the weekly newsletter.
So, without any further delay, let’s get into this week’s forecast. A new month means a new anchor card, so let’s start there!

August’s anchor card. The 6 of Cups.
Sweetness, nostalgia, sentimentality, and goodwill are the themes of the 6 of Cups. This card pops up when we find ourselves drifting into old memories. Some may take us on a journey filled with fondness, others may bring a realisation of relief in the present, and some may even carry a sting of guilt or regret. As goodwill is another aspect of the 6 of Cups, it’s a reminder to direct kindness to whatever emotions do arise if you find yourself on a sentimental journey. Avoid judgement or blame. Gently return yourself to the present and acknowledge the lessons learned. Sometimes, the 6 of Cups can also hint at a romantic connection, perhaps a person from the past appearing in your present. Finally, this card also signifies a happy family gathering—a reminder of the sweetness that comes when in the company of those we hold dearest.

For the week ahead, we have a duo of Swords and the stern Emperor, so we’re looking at a lot of mental energy along with leadership and strategy,
Ace of Swords
To begin, we have the Ace of Swords. The first card of the Swords suit, it brings in fresh new thinking, a sudden flash of clarity that cuts through any previous mental fog. This is the ‘lightbulb on’ moment, and when it arrives, it can often feel like a sword slicing something in two. The part you need, you keep. The other half falls away. There’s often a touch of divine intervention with this card; the Universe nudging you in the right direction, or placing the information, people, or clarity you need in your path. The important things is to act once that clarity arrives. Avoid sitting on the idea or plan or that inspiring Ace energy will fizzle away.
Affirmation: “I welcome clear truth and decisive insight. I trust what’s being revealed, and I act on it with confidence.”
9 of Swords
Next up is the prickly 9 of Swords. This is the card of anxiety, those troubling thoughts that peck like a demented woodpecker. Sitting beside the Ace of Swords, it’s an indication you may risk overthinking this week. With the Swords leaping from Ace to 9, we have some fast moving, expansive mental energy. It’s an ungrounded energy, so you might find it difficult to get out of your head and into the more earthy energy of practical action.
The 9 of Swords is a warning to avoid the spiral of ‘What Ifs’. 'What if it all goes wrong? What if I fail?' When you catch yourself on this train of thought, spin those questions to ‘What if it all works out? What if I succeed?' The Ace brings clarity, but the 9 nudges you into overthinking. To combat any mental overwhelm, pick one simple actionable step and do it. Talking it out might help. Share your concerns with someone, or even get your thoughts down on paper. Swords rule communication, so take control by using your voice.
Affirmation: “My thoughts are not my truth. I release the spiral of fear, return to the present moment, and choose calm, supportive thinking.”
The Emperor
Closing out the trio is The Emperor. He cuts a stern figure sitting on his throne, but The Emperor is the perfect ‘no nonsense’ energy required to shift out of overthinking and get into aligned action this week. Don’t be fooled by his seated pose. He’s ready to leap into action, and with his red cloak a symbol of passion and fire, he’s the first to draw his sword when it comes to defending his kingdom. He’s a wise leader who has seen his fair share of battle and holds a wealth of skill and strategy.
How would The Emperor deal with the 9 of Swords? He’d flap away the fear-based thinking because he knows he can overcome every challenge. “So what if something goes wrong? There are always options, choices, and support,” he says. The Emperor guides you into gathering any scattered mental energy and turning it into order. Make a plan. Set out practical, achievable steps. Hoick up your Big Girl Pants on and tell any fear-based thinking to take a hike.
Affirmation: “I lead myself with steady strength and self-respect. I create structure, make a plan, and take aligned action one step at a time.”
With the 6 of Cups as the anchor, we’re given a much needed injection of heart amongst all this stern Sword and Emperor energy. Logic may want to run amok, but the 6 of Cups can gently calm it down if you allow its sweetness in. It’s a great card to counteract the 9 of Swords, because it encourages you to remember your past; all you’ve experienced, overcome, and learned. Take this wisdom and apply it to the present. With the family theme of the 6 of Cups, you’re also reminded to share your concerns or strategies. Two heads are better than one, and the people that know you best, whether they be family or friends, are the ones who can help you to witness the wisdom you already hold.
We’ve got a blast of mental clarity this week with the Ace of Swords. To shift this thinking into doing, embody The Emperor by taking the lead and applying a strategy using all the smarts you possess. Failure to get out of your head may lead to overthinking or overwhelm with the 9 of Swords, so keep that sweet, sentimental 6 of Cups energy in play.
Have a wonderful week, my friends. As always, take what resonates and leave aside what doesn’t.
If your Emperor energy needs a boost, you can always book a reading with me to get yourself back on track with a kick ass strategy.
