Tarot for the Collective

Hello my friends, and welcome to this week’s Tarot Forecast, arriving right after the Summer Solstice. The light peaked on Sunday the 21st, and now the energy gently shifts into a new season. I sat by the sea with my friends to watch the sun rise and it was genuinely beautiful, a long moment of red and gold light that left us feeling both tiny and infinite all at once. Did you celebrate the Solstice? I’d love to hear what you got up to.

The cards told me they’d like to lead the way this week, so rather than forcing a theme, I’ll let the story unfold.

A reminder that our anchor card for June is the King of Cups, and he’s right at home in this week’s energy. Emotional mastery, steady presence, and the ability to respond rather than react will make everything land a lot more smoothly.

Three tarot cards—VIII Strength, Seven of Pentacles, Seven of Swords—on a moon-patterned cloth with warm orange light.
Strength, 7 of Pentacles, 7 of Swords. Deck: Tarot of the Abyss

Strength

Strength steps in first, and it’s such a reassuring opener for a post-Solstice week. This isn’t about powering through or proving anything to anyone. It’s about calm courage, the kind that comes from knowing you can hold your own emotions, your own desires, and your own boundaries without needing to roar about it.

Strength asks you to move through the week with patience and self-respect, especially if you’re feeling a little fragile, tired, or a bit stretched. Where can you soften your grip, take a slower approach, and trust that consistency will get you further than intensity? If you’ve been trying to force an outcome, this card is your gentle nudge to ease up and let your steadiness do the talking.

Strength and the King of Cups are a gorgeous pairing. They both remind you that real power is emotionally intelligent, steady, and quietly in control.

Affirmation: I meet this week with calm courage. I trust my steady heart to guide my choices.

7 of Pentacles

Next we have the 7 of Pentacles, which feels like the practical follow-on to Strength. This is the card of pausing to assess, checking what’s growing, what’s thriving, and what’s taking up space without giving much back. This is a time to refine, so take a look at what you’ve been investing your time, energy, and attention into. What’s actually working, even if it’s slow? What’s quietly improving behind the scenes? And what might need a small tweak, a different approach, or a bit more patience before it bears fruit?

The 7 of Pentacles also gives you permission to stop treating rest like a reward you have to earn. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is step back, breathe, and let the seeds do what seeds do. Tying in with the King of Cups, the message is about assessing without spiralling. You can be honest about what’s not working without turning it into a personal judgement, and you can stay open-hearted while you make practical changes.

Affirmation: I honour what I’m growing, even when it’s slow. I trust the timing of my efforts and make wise adjustments.

7 of Swords

And then we land with the 7 of Swords, which is a call for honesty and self-awareness. Yes, sometimes this card can point to something being kept back, something not being said, or someone not playing entirely fair. But just as often, it’s about the ways we avoid our own truth, dodge a difficult conversation, or try to slip past something we know we need to face.

This week, keep it simple and practical. If something feels off, don’t ignore it. If you need clarity, ask for it. If you’re tempted to people-please, over-explain, or quietly disappear instead of speaking up, this card is your reminder that clean communication is kinder in the long run.

And if you’re the one holding something back, be gentle with yourself, then be honest. What would it look like to tell the truth in a way that’s clear, respectful, and doesn’t set fire to your own nervous system? The King of Cups is your steady hand here. He helps you address what’s real without drama, defensiveness, or emotional flooding, so you can choose integrity and calm at the same time.

Affirmation: I choose honesty, clarity, and self-respect. I communicate directly and kindly, even when it feels vulnerable.

Journal prompts

  • Where in my life would a calmer, steadier approach create better results than pushing harder?

  • What am I currently growing that deserves patience, and what needs a small, practical adjustment?

  • Where am I avoiding a truth, a conversation, or a decision, and what would a kind, clear next step look like?

This week’s tarot forecast is subtle but strong. Strength asks you to lead with calm courage, the 7 of Pentacles invites you to review what you’re growing and make small, wise adjustments, and the 7 of Swords brings a nudge towards honesty, clarity, and clean communication.

With the King of Cups anchoring June, we’re doing all of it with emotional mastery, steady boundaries, and a softer nervous system.
