Tarot for the Seasons

Welcome back, my friends!

If you were looking for the Tarot Inspiration challenge in July and noticed it was quiet, that pause was intentional. Creative Soul Tarot has been in a season of change, and I needed some spaciousness to work hard behind the scenes.

You might have already spotted a fresh look across the site, and you’ll also see a new name beginning to weave itself through my work: Your Path Aligned (the domain will stay as creativesoultarot.com for now). This name captures the expansion of what I offer, now held within four clear pillars of Tarot Reading & Teaching, Meditation, Rahanni Celestial Healing, and coming soon, Human Design Coaching. So, it feels beautifully fitting that the return of the challenge centres on Harvest & Celebration. Welcome to August Tarot Inspiration!

As we step into the season of Lammas (Lughnasadh), we enter a spiritual threshold. Traditionally celebrated around the start of August, Lammas is the first harvest festival. It honours the turning point where the fruits of our effort begin to show themselves. Not everything is finished, but enough has ripened to be gathered, assessed, and shared.

Spiritually, Lammas invites us to ask:

  • What has grown because I showed up consistently?

  • What is ready to be harvested now?

  • What needs to be refined before the next season?

This energy can show up in very practical ways.

You might notice you are:

  • Receiving feedback, results, or recognition for work you began earlier in the year

  • Feeling a clearer sense of what is working in your routines, relationships, or creative projects

  • Realising that something you thought would flourish has not, and needs a new approach

  • Being called to celebrate progress, rather than waiting for perfection

Although centred around abundance, this harvest season also reveals truth. A harvest shows you what the soil, weather, timing, and care actually produced. That’s why Justice is such a potent tarot archetype for this time of year. Justice reminds us that our choices have consequences, and that we eventually meet the results of what we’ve invested. Sometimes that looks like rewards. Sometimes it looks like a reality check. Either way, it’s clarifying!

If you’ve been planting seeds through summer, August can bring the first real evidence of what's taking root. And if you’ve been drifting, avoiding, or overextending, August can also bring a moment of recalibration.

This month’s Tarot Inspiration is here to help you meet that moment with awareness, alignment, and a sense of celebration.

Tarot and the Season

If you’re new to this series, here’s the heart of it. Tarot is more than a tool for prediction. It’s a mirror, a compass, and a conversation with your deeper self. When we pair tarot with journaling, we create a practice that helps us notice patterns and repeating lessons, track growth, make clearer decisions from a grounded place, and stay connected to our values, boundaries, and purpose.

August’s seasonal energy is naturally reflective. This season of harvest asks you to review what you’ve created, what you’ve learned, and what you’re ready to claim. Tarot supports this by giving you language for what you’re sensing but may not yet have named. It’s also one of the most accessible ways to shift into alignment with your soul’s purpose, because it helps you:

  • Identify what is truly motivating you beneath surface goals

  • Recognise where you are out of integrity with your own needs

  • See what you are avoiding, and why

  • Choose the next step that honours your path

And just as importantly, tarot helps you stay on track. Alignment is a practice. A weekly spread can become a steady check in with yourself, especially when life is busy or emotionally noisy.

So for August, we’re using tarot to harvest insight, celebrate progress, and make wise adjustments.

Weekly Challenge Overview

As always, the month is structured as four weekly themes, each supported by a three card spread. Each week includes a focus for the week, a three-card spread, a prompt to guide your reading, and expanded guidance to help you go deeper

You can do the spreads on any day that suits you. Some people prefer Monday as a reset. Others like a weekend reflection. Choose what feels realistic and sustainable.

Week 1: Take Stock of What Has Grown

Prompt: Where have I made real progress, and what deserves to be

honoured right now?

The first week of harvest is about noticing what’s already working. Before we plan, fix, or strive, we pause and acknowledge what has actually been created. This is relevant because many of us move straight past our progress. We rush into the next goal and forget to let success land.

Week 1 Spread: The First Harvest

Card 1: What has grown well

Card 2: What supported this growth

Card 3: What wants acknowledgement and celebration

Expanded Guidance:

  • Card 1 shows you the area of life where your effort has been paying off. This might be a relationship, a habit, a creative project, your health, your spiritual practice, or your confidence.

  • Card 2 is the key. It reveals what actually helped. This might be discipline, support from others, or a boundary you finally held.

  • Card 3 is your celebration card. It invites you to mark the moment. Celebration can be practical: sharing your news, taking a day off, buying yourself flowers, or simply writing down what you’re proud of.

If Justice appears this week, consider where you are seeing the direct results of your choices. If the 6 of Pentacles appears, you may be harvesting through balanced giving and receiving. If The Empress appears, you may be harvesting through creativity and self trust.

Week 2: Refine What Needs Adjusting

Prompt: What needs to be cleared or refined so I can move forward

with more integrity?

Week 2 is about refining, editing, and making small adjustments that create better results. Alignment is never about forcing but responding wisely to what is real, so this week we're reflecting on what we're able to release, and where we have the ability to refine.

Week 2 Spread: The Sickle and Sheaf

Card 1: What is ready to be released or cleared

Card 2: What needs refining to thrive

Card 3: The most aligned next adjustment

Expanded Guidance:

  • Card 1 points to what is no longer worth your energy. This could be a commitment, a belief, a habit, a dynamic, or even a way you speak to yourself.

  • Card 2 shows what is not a failure, but a work in progress. Something may be close to flourishing, but it needs a tweak.

  • Card 3 gives you the next step. Keep it small and actionable. Think in terms of one boundary, one conversation, one schedule change, one decision.

If the 8 of Pentacles appears, you are being asked to commit to the craft of improvement. If The Devil appears, look for attachment and over investment. If Temperance appears, your refinement is about balance and pacing.

Week 3: Claim Your Worth and Receive

Prompt: What am I ready to receive, and what will help me accept it fully?

Week 3 is about receiving. After effort comes reward, support, and nourishment. This week invites you to open your hands. Many people can work hard, but struggle to receive without guilt, suspicion, or over explaining. If this sounds like you, this spread is worth trying.

Week 3 Spread: The Receiving Bowl

Card 1: What I am ready to receive

Card 2: What blocks my receiving

Card 3: How to receive with confidence and clarity

Expanded Guidance:

  • Card 1 shows the form of nourishment arriving. It could be money, time, love, recognition, rest, opportunity, or spiritual support.

  • Card 2 reveals the inner pattern that makes receiving difficult. Watch for stories like “I have to earn it”, “I don’t deserve it”, or “If I accept, I will owe”.

  • Card 3 offers a new approach. This might be a boundary, a mindset shift, a practical plan, or a ritual of gratitude.

If the Queen of Pentacles appears, receiving may look like creating a more supportive home and body routine. If The Star appears, receiving may be about hope, healing, and allowing life to meet you. If the 4 of Pentacles appears, explore where you’re gripping too tightly.

Week 4: Celebrate, Share, and Set the Next Intention

Prompt: What am I celebrating, what can I share, and what is the next

aligned intention?

Week 4 brings celebration and forward vision. We honour what has been harvested, share what we can, and set intentions for the next cycle. Celebration is a spiritual practice, telling your nervous system that progress is safe. It also tells your soul that you’re listening and connecting.

Week 4 Spread: The Lammas Feast

Card 1: What I am celebrating

Card 2: What I am ready to share or offer

Card 3: The next seed to plant

Expanded Guidance:

  • Card 1 is your evidence. When you name this clearly, it becomes real.

  • Card 2 invites generosity, but not self sacrifice. Sharing can be as simple as encouraging someone else, teaching what you’ve learned, or offering your skills.

  • Card 3 is the bridge into the next season. Choose an intention that feels aligned.

If The Sun appears, celebration is straightforward. Let yourself enjoy it. If The World appears, you may be closing a chapter. If the Page of Wands appears, your next seed is creative and brave.

Further Journaling

Tarot opens the door, and journaling helps you walk through it. When you write after a reading, you move from 'interesting message' into lived understanding. You notice your emotional responses, your resistance, your excitement, and the practical steps that want to follow.

Here are eight prompts, two for each week, aligned with the theme.

Week 1 Journal Prompts: Take Stock of What Has Grown

  1. What am I proud of from the last few months, even if it looks small from the outside?

  2. What helped me grow this, and how can I honour that support (within myself or from others)?

Week 2 Journal Prompts: Refine What Needs Adjusting

  1. What am I doing out of habit rather than alignment, and what would feel more true now?

  2. If I made one small adjustment this week that would create a big energetic shift, what would it be?

Week 3 Journal Prompts: Claim Your Worth and Receive

  1. Where do I struggle to receive, and what am I afraid will happen if I accept fully?

  2. What would receiving with confidence look like in my daily life, in practical terms?

Week 4 Journal Prompts: Celebrate, Share, and Set the Next Intention

  1. How do I want to celebrate myself this month, and what stops me from doing that?

  2. What is one intention I want to plant now, and what support will help me follow through?

Closing Summary

August invites us into harvest energy: to take stock, refine, receive, and celebrate. Through Lammas, we are reminded that effort matters, integrity matters, and so does gratitude. Let this month be a turning point where you honour what you’ve built, clear what is no longer aligned, and choose the next step with clarity.
