Hello, Creatives!
Tarot for Creatives is back after the bank holiday break last week, and I've discovered that a February bank holiday is the nicest way to roll out of gloomy January. February heralds spring, but it’s also the month of my birthday so it’s a special month for me. Yesterday was my birthday, but I’ve been celebrating since Friday, and I have more celebrations tomorrow and on Saturday! Yes, I’ve definitely been stretching it out this year, but why not? Another year on planet Earth is worth celebrating!
Let’s get into the Tarot for Creatives reading this sunny Monday morning! The cards are telling the story this week, and I’m working with the delightful Tarot de Carlotydes which is one of my favourite decks.
We open with the 2 of Pentacles and a message of balance. The 2 of Pentacles pops up when we’re busy juggling life’s responsibilities, and the question to ask is ‘Are you in flow, or are you wobbling?’
What are you balancing right now, and have you the space to set something down? With this card, it’s all about practicality. Examine what’s filling your days and if those tasks/responsibilities are serving you, or if they’re just a time suck. With instability an aspect of this card, another factor to consider is the health of your finances and business. The juggling figure represents wavering between a decision, so the message is to proceed with caution. Avoid rush decisions. Weigh up the pros and cons, especially when it comes to the earthly matters of business, finance, work, or career.
‘Be brave. Fight for what you believe in, and make your dreams a reality.’ - Jared Leto
What hill have you chosen to die on? The 7 of Wands is a card of defensive tactics. It typically appears when we need to fight our corner. It’s not a physical fight, but a perceived challenge that calls for creative thinking. There’s always a hint of stubbornness with the 7. It’s that situation where you aren’t prepared to back down, where conviction burns bright, and you know you’ll succeed, despite what others may think or say. Defend your hill! It’s worth protecting, and you haven’t come this far to let someone else steal your glory, or knock you down.
Turbo Power with the 8 of Wands!
After the challenge of the 7, we’re suddenly flying ahead with the 8 of Wands. Progress is on the way! You’ve overcome the wobble of the 2 of Pentacles, tackled the challenge of the 7 of Wands, and now all cylinders are firing. Exciting acceleration is the theme of this card. You may find yourself on the receiving end of passion, an unexpected journey, or sudden action that takes you forward faster than you’d anticipated. Either way, it’s a positive message. What needs moving in your life? If you can work through the energy of the 2 and 7, the necessary energy will flow in and hit that go-faster button.
An uplifting message for the week ahead! The 8 of Wands is always a great card to see as it indicates positive movement. With spring stirring, it’s an energy that’s already beginning to swirl, so tap into its exciting flow and see what comes your way. Have a wonderful week, creative souls!
