Tarot for Creatives July 31st to Aug 6th 2023

Hello, Creatives!

Welcome to a new week and the end of July. Our summer has been washed out by rain, but I’m ever hopeful for a dry Autumn. This week I’m using the Accept, Release, Activate spread. As the summer peters out, change is in the air, and it’s evident in the majority of my clients over the last few weeks who have been battling decisions with change, so I wanted to share this spread for anyone else who’s in the same boat. I hope it’s of help!

The Fool, King of Pentacles, The Chariot. Deck: Dark Wood Tarot

Two Major Arcana in this week’s spread, beginning with the Fool. In the Accept position, it indicates embracing newness might be a struggle for you right now. A situation demands a leap of faith, but you’re faltering, likely weighing up pros and cons to convince yourself either way. The Fool calls for faith. Make the jump! it cries. You’ve got the Universe at your back, and although you may not see it right now, great adventure awaits. Accept that the opportunity presented is about to push you out of your comfort zone. But on new ground, you’ll learn more about yourself and your capabilities. Change can be unsettling, but stagnancy is far more dangerous. Accept the challenge and jump in!

Never be afraid to try something new. Life can get boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know.

The King of Pentacles in the Release position adds to the Fool’s message of letting go. The King is in control of his kingdom. He works hard to ensure all are provided for. But his control is not to your benefit right now. Ease off the throttle. Delegate where you can. The Fool’s adventure needs you present and willing, so set aside what you can to embrace the change and try something new. With the King present, you’ve already built a solid foundation, so don’t be afraid to step back for a while; what you’ve created won’t crumble because you’re eyeing new horizons. Trying something new will only add to your skill-set, so once you return to your throne, you’ll do so as an even better version of yourself.

Power is in your hands!

The Chariot calls on us to Activate will-power and drive. The card when it comes to determined effort, it asks us to use wit, logic, and our talents as we step into new territory with the Fool. These are all skills already developed with the King, so it’s not something out of your wheelhouse. If you’re reluctant to release the control you’ve cultivated, know that the Chariot is all about control. You steer the vehicle, and although it’s on new ground, you’ve got this. Work with balance as you proceed. Your internal wisdom has the smarts to tackle the external influences, and with the Chariot’s will-power to succeed, you’re unlikely to allow anything stand in your way. Sustained effort will lead you through this new adventure with ease and control.

What new opportunity has you stalling right now? Will you take that leap of faith? Go on, be brave! Next week is a bank holiday here in Ireland, so there’ll be no newsletter or Tarot for Creatives reading, but I’ll be back on August 14th. Until then, have a wonderful couple of weeks, Creative Souls!
