Tarot for the Collective
Hello my friends, and welcome to your weekly Tarot Forecast as January begins to soften at the edges. Even in the heart of Winter, the energy is stirring beneath the surface, like the first quiet signs of Spring awakening. The days are slowly stretching, our inner worlds are shifting, and we are being invited to release what has been heavy so we can step forward with clearer eyes and steadier hearts.

Our Anchor card for January remains the Ace of Cups, reminding us that everything begins again through tenderness, emotional honesty, and the simple devotion of coming back to ourselves.

3 of Swords
The 3 of Swords arrives as a compassionate truth-teller. This week may bring a moment of clarity around grief, disappointment, or an old story that still stings when you touch it. If something has felt sharp lately, this card asks you not to bypass it, but to witness it with gentleness. The healing here is not in pretending it did not hurt, but in naming what is real, and letting your heart breathe again. With the Ace of Cups anchoring you, there is space for emotional release without drowning in it. Let tears, truth, and tenderness be cleansing. You are not broken, you are human, and your heart is learning how to trust itself again.
Affirmation: I honour my feelings, and I allow my heart to heal in its own time.
Queen of Swords
The Queen of Swords brings clean, steady discernment. After the heart’s honesty of the 3 of Swords, this Queen helps you set boundaries that protect your peace. This is not coldness, it is clarity. You may feel called to speak directly, make a decision you have been avoiding, or cut away an obligation that is no longer aligned. The Queen reminds you that wisdom is often quiet and precise. She encourages you to hold compassion in one hand and truth in the other, and to choose what supports your wellbeing. With the Ace of Cups nearby, your clarity can be kind. You can be loving and still say no. You can be soft and still be sovereign.
Affirmation: I trust my inner wisdom, and I choose clarity with compassion.
3 of Wands
The 3 of Wands is the exhale after the storm, the horizon opening. This card speaks of forward movement, expansion, and the first visible signs that your efforts are working. You may not be at the destination yet, but you are no longer standing at the beginning. This week invites you to lift your gaze and ask, what is possible now that I have released what was weighing me down? The 3 of Wands is also a beautiful reminder to think bigger than the immediate moment. Plan, explore, and allow yourself to anticipate good things. With the Ace of Cups as your anchor, let your next steps be guided by what feels nourishing, not just what looks sensible.
Affirmation: I am open to new possibilities, and I move forward with trust and courage.
Journal Prompts
Where am I being asked to acknowledge a truth I have been avoiding, and what would gentle honesty look like for me?
What boundary, decision, or release would create more peace and emotional spaciousness in my life right now?
If I trusted that something good is unfolding, what would I begin planning, exploring, or saying yes to?
This week’s story moves from heart-truth (3 of Swords), into clear discernment (Queen of Swords), and out towards renewed momentum (3 of Wands). Let the Ace of Cups remind you that softness is strength, and that emotional renewal is always available when you return to yourself. Remember, the Tarot Forecast guidance is here to support you, but as always, take what resonates, and leave aside what doesn’t!
If you would like personalised support, you can book a tarot reading with me for deeper clarity, or join a meditation and cacao circle to ground, release, and reconnect.
The Tarot Forecast takes a break next week for the Brigid's Day bank holiday here in Ireland. I'll be back on February 9th!
