Tarot for the Collective
A big thank you to everyone who reached about last week’s Tarot Forecast on how to navigate the turmoil of our world at this time. I’m touched it brought hope and clarity to so many. This week’s theme is also by request, and deals with the subject of change. Whether you’re facing a life-shifting transformation, or a less impactful change, I hope there’s a message within that offers guidance. I’m asking the cards: How will this change benefit me, One way I can better embrace this change, Strengths I have to see me through this change
The 10 of Swords declares that incoming change brings an ending, and as the image on the card depicts, it’s a very definitive ending! Completion nears, and with it comes release and transformation. It’s not physical death as the card appears to depict, but the end of a situation; a job, a relationship, a mindset, a behaviour. Whatever the closure, the change that heralds it carries you into a new phase. Yes, it may be a tough ending to work through, but much like the Death card in tarot, the 10 of Swords reminds us that new beginnings are just around the corner. In summary, necessary closure is brought about by change. It may call upon every ounce of your strength, but you have what it takes to push through, and once you do, you won’t look back.

Competition is the theme of the 5 of Wands, so one way to better embrace change is through active engagement. Rather than avoiding change or obstacles, face them head on. Take a more proactive approach. If you’re inclined to allow change to unfold around you without your participation, it can lead to feelings of powerless and being taken advantage of. Instead of standing by, leap in and take part. Another way to look at this card is diversity of thought. Be open to alternative points of view, perspectives, and ideas. And because Wands represent creativity, a healthy serving of creative thinking will also serve! The 5 of Wands tests our boundaries. It challenges us to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone, stand with courage, and open ourselves to new perspectives. When we face change with these tools, empowerment is ours!
Confidence, courage, and fun come with The Sun. This is the card of happy, prosperous times, when everything is positive and joyful. Face change with a positive attitude, it says. Hold confidence in the uplifting transformation that change brings, and know you have the inner strength to navigate everything that comes your way. Another message of this card is rebirth. It bookends the ending/transformation message of the 10 of Swords—highlighting the importance of embracing the active engagement message of the 5 of Wands, but also showing off the joy of change, and just how much success it can bring. Finally, The Sun also brings clarity, allowing you to see things in a new light and make better informed decisions during transition.
A necessary ending invites us to actively engage and empower ourselves this week. Face transformation with positivity. Our inner strength will guide us through, leading us into sunny new beginnings!
