Hello, and welcome to the Tarot Forecast for the week ahead. Autumn is making her presence felt here. There’s a cool edge to the air, and the evenings are starting to arrive a little earlier. We have a good six weeks to go before the clocks change, and while part of me loves the hibernation of winter, I still mourn the passing of the long summer days. This time of year reminds me of The Wheel of Fortune, and how, no matter how much I might wish otherwise ‘This too shall pass’.

On to the reading for this week. Our Anchor card for the month is the 5 of Pentacles which can show up as feeling left out, under-resourced, or like you’re carrying things alone. It can also highlight the moment you realise support is available, so, if you’re willing to pause, look up, and reach for it, you might discover that you don’t have to do everything by yourself. There’s always a hand waiting to take yours.

No questions for the cards this week. I’m stepping back to allow them to tell the story.

Three tarot cards, The Fool, The Empress, and Nine of Swords, lit by sunlight on a patterned cloth.
The Fool, The Empress, 9 of Swords. Deck: Earth Woman Tarot

The Fool

The Fool arrives as a breath of fresh air this week, and with a nudge towards a new beginning. This card reflects the part of you that’s ready to step forward without needing every detail mapped out, or knowing where you’ll end up. So, there’s a sense of possibility here, but also a request for presence. The Fool says to take the next step, but not the whole staircase.

Fool energy shows up as a new idea, a spontaneous invitation, a shift in identity around something, or even a decision to try again after a wobble, so at its core, it’s seeking your trust. If you’ve been overthinking something, this is your cue to return to basics by asking: What do I want? What feels alive? What’s the smallest action I can take today?

With the anchor influence of the 5 of Pentacles, your new path may stir fears about money, belonging, or being supported. Use that fear as information, not an excuse to quit. Pick one support and use it. From there, you can take the next practical step.

Affirmation: I trust myself to begin, and I’m safe to learn as I go.

The Empress

The Empress brings you back into your body, your senses, and your capacity to receive. She’s the epitome of creation energy, nourishment, and steady abundance, the kind that grows when you tend consistently to what matters. This week, The Empress can point to caring for your home, your health, your creativity, and your relationships with more intention. She also asks you to reflect upon your self-worth by reminding you that you don’t have to earn rest, beauty, pleasure, or care. If you’ve been pushing, The Empress asks you to slow down and prioritise what replenishes you. This is a powerful card for birthing something real, whether that’s a project, a boundary, a new routine, or a deeper commitment to your own well-being.

Where you might feel the 5 of Pentacles influence is if scarcity thoughts flare up. The Empress invites you to focus on what you can nurture now, so lean into those small, manageable steps.

Affirmation: I am worthy of support, and I allow myself to receive.

9 of Swords

The 9 of Swords is the card of mental spirals, late-night worry, and the stories that shout louder when you’re tired or overwhelmed. It doesn’t mean something terrible is destined to happen. What it’s typically showing is that your nervous system is overloaded, and your mind is trying to solve everything at once. This week, you may notice anxiety rising around decisions, relationships, health, or finances. The invitation here is to separate what’s true from what’s fear. Shut down the What If spiral. Name the worry by sharing it with another or picking it apart on paper. The 9 of Swords also asks for compassion towards yourself. You’re a human, processing a myriad of emotions and thoughts, so your anxiety is not a failing. Let go what you’re unable to influence and keep your thoughts full of self-encouragement.

With the 5 of Pentacles in the background, the fear of ‘not enough’ may be the root of the worry. Reach out, ask for help, and ground into practical reassurance instead of trying to carry or do it alone.

Affirmation: I release what I can’t control, and I choose thoughts that support me.

Journal prompts

  1. The Fool: Where am I being asked to begin again, even if I don’t feel fully ready? What’s my next right step?

  2. The Empress: What helps me feel resourced in my body, my home, and my heart? What am I ready to receive more of?

  3. 9 of Swords and 5 of Pentacles: What ‘not enough’ story is running in the background, and what support is available to me?

This Tarot Forecast speaks of a new beginning (The Fool), the reminder that you’re allowed to be supported and well-resourced (The Empress), and the need to steady the mind when worry starts to spiral (9 of Swords), all under the monthly theme of the 5 of Pentacles: moving from isolation and scarcity into support and steadiness.

Have a bountiful week, my friends, and as always, take what resonates, and leave aside what doesn’t!
