Tarot for the Collective
Welcome to another Tarot Forecast, and belated Solstice Blessings to one and all! I spent Saturday painting a mural outdoors, carving a set of runes I’ve created, and even squeezed in baking an orange cake to celebrate the day. We had gorgeous sunshine, so the Sun honoured itself in full glory. How did you celebrate? If you’d like to share, let me know!
This week I’m reading with the Codex Obscurus Tarot which features only Major Arcana. I received a request to read on the turmoil impacting our planet, and while I feel it’s way too expansive an energy to funnel into three cards, I will ask how we can best individually deal with what’s unfolding around us at this time.
Tradition, structure, ritual, and community are beneficial at this time. The Hierophant is the card of established institution, and brings a message to lean into the practices and beliefs that align with your personal values and morals—and bring you comfort. Whether it be yoga, knitting, kick-coxing, or prayer, whatever practice gives you the space to connect within and settle into a sense of belonging, structure, and comfort, embrace it.
The Hierophant can also indicate a mentor, so if you feel you need to discuss your feelings with someone, reach out and make the connection, whether it be at a professional or personal level.
Ritual is another key aspect of this card. What’s your daily go-to for comfort and connection? If nothing comes to mind, then The Hierophant is a sign to put together something you can turn to daily. Be practical by crafting a ritual that fits in with your life; it could be a two minute affirmation in the morning while brushing your teeth, or a more elaborate ritual which allows you to connect within for longer. When the winds of uncertainty blow, your touchstone will provide the security you need.

Judgement indicates an epiphany, an awakening that shifts us into a state of rebirth. This is no minor rebirth, as once we emerge, nothing will ever be the same again.
In terms of world events, Judgement can indicate major revelations, the kind that blow the lid off our reality and leave us all slack-jawed. It indicates secrets unveiled, stark clarity, and a life-altering shift in perception. In more personal terms the message is not much different, but the epiphany is felt more singularly.
The Hierophant certainly holds influence over Judgement, as both cards convey themes of spiritual beliefs and practices. It could be that deeper connection to these themes instigate an awakening of self, where perspective of one’s life and beliefs is suddenly viewed from a new angle. Be open to the change that Judgement brings. Massive energetic shifts are already occurring around the world, so this energy is in full flow.
Strength is the card of inner grace, and basically says when others around you are losing their shit, it doesn’t mean you have to lose yours. Strength is all about balancing the wild and the tame. There are times when we need to roar, and times when grace is our greatest asset. You have survived all of life’s challenges up to this point. Think of all the wisdom these experiences have taught you, the perseverance, the willpower, the might. Strength isn’t a display of muscle or a raising of voice, it’s the quiet moments of grace; a smile to a stranger, a hello to a server, a how are you to the person behind the counter. Your grace may be the only sparkle of hope a person receives in their day, so be mindful of this when you lock your front door behind you in the morning.
Strength is also about setting boundaries. Skip the doom scrolling. Turn off the news. When fear underpins conversation, shut it down. When you’re more conscious of low energy, it’s easier to disconnect, so keep your boundaries strong and trust that you have what it takes to emerge from these tumultuous times stronger and wiser.
